JOY NEWS

   For April's JOY meeting, the children participated in "Dying the Eggs Red!" for Easter with Presbytera in the kitchen.  They learned about the entire process and the meaning behind the symbolism of the red eggs.  Following the explanation of the dying of the eggs, we also saw the movie, "The Lamb of God".  We had a Fasting Pasta Dinner after our discussion, enjoying each other's company and learned to fast together as a group.  The movie depicts Christ's suffering for us in order for us to be able to be forgiven for our sins.  Of course, during our summary after the movie, we discussed the main points of Easter as well!
   On April 9th, JOY hosted the Lenten Dinner.  It was a wonderful Lenten Dinner!  Everyone enjoyed each other's company, and the Lenten food was delicious.  Father Anargyros and Father John joined us too.  A special "thank you" expressed to Mrs. Eleftheria Tsapelis for her help in preparing this special event and for those that donated towards this fundraiser.
